Welcome to my world! I’m Kimi, 19—a tech nerd with a taste for the 2000s, languages, and retro software. This site is my portfolio, and as you can see, it’s not your typical modern layout. I wanted it to reflect my love for older tech—a more personal vibe that helps me stand out.
I grew up in the Netherlands, where I developed a love for tech and languages early on. Dutch is my native tongue, and I was speaking decent English by age 7, pretty much automatically. Eventually, I earned a C1 Cambridge English certificate.
My tech journey started with Windows XP at age 3 (which I still use in certain projects just for the nostalgia). When I got my first laptop, I experimented with Visual Basic, and after 15 years on Windows, I recently made the switch to Linux. I’m also slowly learning some basics in Python—taking it one line of code at a time.
Being the “tech guy” for my teachers, friends, and family was kind of inevitable. Something about tech and languages just *clicks* for me.
To me, tech and language aren’t just skills—they’re tools for connecting, creating, and having some fun along the way. I approach my work with a mix of technical know-how and a retro twist. Whether I’m fixing a problem or creating content, I aim to add a little bit of “me” to everything I do.
